Here are various kinds of juice press machines explained:
1. Centrifugal juicers
Centrifugal cold press juicers are the most affordable of all juicers and these are readily available at most departmental stores. These run on electricity. The reason why they are called centrifugal juicers is that the juice is produced by a blade that first chops the vegetable or fruit and then it is spun at high speeds, and this process helps in the extraction of the juice from fruit or vegetable. It works on similar principle as of the washing machine wringing out clothes. This has a strainer basket where the pulp is retained and only the pure juice passes through the holes. The draw back here is that it is not very effective in extracting the juice and there is heat and friction produced due to the spinning. This oxidizes the juice, reduces the nutritional content and in some instances also reduces the natural taste. However, these juice press machines are easy to clean and use and are fast. So a person having limited amount of time and budget can go for this option.
2. Masticating juicers
Masticating juicers have one gear or else they have an auger and blades that reduces the vegetables or fruits into pulp and in this way the juices are released. This way, the yield of juice is more and as it runs at slow speeds, it does take long time and this also means that there is not much oxidation and there is no froth on the juice and the nutrients are conserved. These juicers leave behind pulp that is very dry.
3. Twin gear juicers
Twin gear juicers are also known as triturating juicers use twin gears and these rotate inwards and crush whatever comes between them into pulp. This is slow and there is no heat produced and also no air is allowed inside and so no oxidation can happen and the nutrients are preserved. There is no foam present on the juice. However, these are expensive but are very versatile and these can be used for all juices.
4. Hydraulic press juicers
Hydraulic press juicers have a two step procedure. The first step is trituration. In which the fruits and vegetables are chopped, ground and shredded. Then the pulp is put into cloth lined trays and extracted. The way this works is that there is extreme pressure exerted and so more juice is extracted when compared to any other kind of juicer. These are very efficient and produce high amounts of juice but at the same time are time consuming. The juices produced by this method are very flavorful and have more enzymes than other juices and are healthier than the juice by any other extraction method.
5. Manual juicers
Manual juicers do not require any type of electricity but this need to be operated by hand. These are cheaper than the electrical ones and these are easy to clean as well. However, these are limited when the type of fruit and vegetables are considered.
From the above mention information you will realize which kind of cold press juicer is best for you. Well then what are you waiting for? Just get it and stay healty!
