White Bread Link to
Cancer
According to the recent research, eating more than 5 slices of
white bread a day could increase the risk of developing kidney
cancer.
The research
was done by scientists at Institute of Pharmacological Research in
Milan, Italy. They concluded that refined cereals trigger higher
blood sugar and insulin levels. This then is believed to fuel the
growth of cancer cells.
It’s been known for a long time that at least a third of all
cancers are diet related. While bread is an important part of diet,
opting for wholemeal varieties and grain breads seems like much
better option.
Diabetics in particular will benefit from wholegrain breads,
which don’t trigger sudden raise in blood sugar or insulin
levels.
Combine this with a good Mediterranean type of diet and regular
exercise, and you will gain more energy spread more evenly
throughout your day. Not to mention the long term benefits to your
overall health.
The Benefits of
Exercise

There are many benefits of regular
exercise |
You’ve heard that exercise is good so many times, that it perhaps
almost sounds like a cliché that everyone seem to be repeating. The
fact is that regular exercise is good, in whatever form it comes:
be it walking, running, swimming, playing tennis, other sports,
cycling, using stairs instead of lift, doing housework, etc. No
matter what form of activity you pursue regularly, you will find
that it brings you many lasting benefits.
1. Exercise Promotes Weight Loss. The first and the best
known benefit of regular exercise is well proven from scientific
research all over the world - physical exercise contributes to
weight loss. The simple fact is that if you burn more calories than
you consume through nutrition, you’ll lose weight.
2. Exercise Prevents Disease. Regular exercise will
decrease your chances of developing several various diseases. These
include heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and stroke.
3. Reduces the Effects of Disease. Many severe and minor
diseases can be improved or even healed through regular exercise.
For example, diabetics keep their blood sugar levels under control
with regular exercise.
4. Enhances Your State of Mind. Regular exercising will
lead to an increased release of endorphins in the body, as many
scientific studies have confirmed. A brisk exercise will free your
mind from stress and help you focus more positively.
5. Enhances Your Wellness. Your overall mood improves
when you are fit and in great shape, increasing your energy levels,
too. Better mood and elevated energy both increase your sense of
wellbeing.
6. Exercise Builds Persistence. Regular exercise gives
you more energy, which helps you be more productive at home and at
work. This builds your ability to be more consistent in your work
performance.
