Let’s get one thing straight: wanting to have the body you had before your pregnancy does not make you a bad mother. You have every right to be happy and healthy and look the way you want to. Your body is your own temple, and don’t let anyone tell you that you are making a mistake by reversing the effects your pregnancy had on it. You have your baby and that’s all the proof of the pregnancy you need.
As it is with any big decision, you have to plan it out carefully and strategically. First things first, make sure you do your research. Think about what you want to want to do and why. Surgery can be quite expensive, so make sure you prioritize which procedure (or procedures) is the most important to you. Do your research, because otherwise you might end up trying to replicate the procedures of someone else who had completely different goals. After you decide what you want and do some digging online, go see a doctor for consultations. They will tell you exactly which surgeries you can go for and which ones you should avoid. They might also tell you that you need to meet some requirements for the surgery you want, like losing weight or avoiding certain activities after the surgery. They will also inform you of all the potential risks and teach you about the best way to prepare. Remember, you can always seek opinions of other doctors if you feel like you need it, and never undergo the actual surgery before you feel 100% comfortable with your doctor.
